We can reverse the coronavirus faster if everyone stays safe and stays home. Not only are you risking your own health and that of others when you go outside, but you are making the whole situation drag unnecessarily longer.
If you absolutely must travel, please be careful and responsible. We have prepared these helpful travelling tips that go a long way towards controlling the spread. Let’s all do our part to break the COVID-19 journey.
GENERIC FOR ALL TYPES OF TRANSPORT:
– Avoid direct contact with other passengers, drivers, and transport staff
– Always wash/disinfect your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after travelling
– Try not to touch eyes, nose or mouth
– Catch coughs and sneezes in tissues or your upper sleeve or elbow
– Try to keep safe 1-2 meters distance from other passengers
– Avoid using cash where possible
Private Vehicle
– Keep a supply of disinfectant wipes at hand
– Clean high-touch areas before and after driving
– Avoid offering lifts unless necessary
– Keep a natural airflow
– If you use car keys, keep them in your pocket or bag when you’re not driving
– Wash your hands immediately after arriving at your destination
Bus & Ferry
– Avoid travelling at peak hours
– Be conscious of the high touch areas (such as guards and handles)
– Carry and use an alcohol-based (at least 60% alcohol) hand sanitizer
– Do not touch your face
Taxi & Ride Sharing
– Sit directly behind the driver
– Be conscious of the high touch areas (handles, seats, seatbelts, etc.)
Car Sharing
All the above + for additional safety:
– Throw any tissues and rubbish directly into a bag and take it with you after your trip
– Use disinfectant wipes on high-touch areas like the gear stick, steering wheel, door handle before and after your trip.
Walk if you can! It’s not only the safest option but also healthy!
