Cool is at the forefront to continue servicing individual and business clients as well as the community it operates in during these unprecedented times. The ride-pooling company is committed to support the efforts carried out by many volunteers around the island to alleviate the challenges that faced by the most vulnerable amongst us.
In order to enhance the safety of its clients and employees, Cool is still operational 24/7, but it is implementing a one-passenger policy at no extra costs to clients. Customers can now travel to their destinations without sharing their ride while benefiting from the same low rates. The company recommends its clients to always sit at the back and open windows during the ride. Vehicles are sanitized and disinfected frequently.
Cool has also launched a delivery service, in support of those businesses who due to current restrictions, need to deliver products to their customers or are experiencing a higher demand, therefore requiring assistance to deliver in a timely manner. Same day deliveries are offered through an easy-to-use platform that allows merchants to book a delivery in just seconds. Interested parties may contact [email protected] for more information.
The company appreciates the immense efforts and the strong sense of solidarity shown by the hundreds of volunteers who are supporting the 111 helpline and providing them with free rides to help facilitate their show of solidarity.
Cool, which is part of Debono Group, has been helping the elderly community in Zebbug with regard to deliveries, but it is committed to strengthen its social role in the community in this time of need. Cool is calling all volunteers and vulnerable persons who need transportation and delivery assistance to get in touch with it so that the company will assist in the best way possible. Laura Jasenaite, Cool CEO commented: “These are testing times for all of us, but I am confident that we will emerge stronger. As a company deeply committed to the community, we will continue supporting all those volunteers who are going out of their way to give something back to society. This is the time where we pull the rope together – in this way, the country emerges victorious”.
